Perugia is the capital city of the region of Umbria in central Italy. In this photo can see Piazza IV Novembre, one of the most beautiful squares of Italy with the Palazzo dei Priori on one side, the Cathedral and the fifteenth-century lodge on the other side. In the center the Fontana Maggiore (Fountain Major), one of the most important monument of Perugia. It's a medieval fountain (built between 1278 and 1280) made up two polygonal basins and a bronze bowl, topped by statues of three female figures, The lower basin is marked out by bas-reliefs of the twelve months of the year, by the signs of the zodiac and other allegorical symbols. The upper basin is made up with representations by religious and allegorical figures.
