SAN DIEGO (April 20, 2017) Cmdr. Kenneth M. Athans exchanges a hand salute with Cmdr. David L. Reyes during a change of command ceremony on the flight deck of the guided-missile destroyer USS Halsey (DDG 97). Halsey, currently homeported in Pearl Harbor, held a change of command while in port at Naval Base San Diego prior to pre-deployment certification exercises.
