In No-vember, 1857, he came to Isabella County, and lo-cated on 160 acres in Cue Township, which he hadpurchased three years previous, and where he hassince resided. He was married in Canada, May 6, 1S45, to Mary,daughter of Robert and Ann (Leach) , na-tives of England. Mrs. Adams was also born inEngland, Sept. 22, 1824. She and her husbandhave been the parents of nine children, five ofwhom survive: Mary A., William E., Oliver H., JohnF. and Wellsley VV.
