The flight model was launched on 24 April 1970, carrying a radio transmitter that broadcast the song 'The East is Red' for 20 days. This satellite is on display at the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT) museum in Beijing, China. The small square panels are arrays of solar cells.
