For general crops a good dressing should be applied; and for the dwarf-growing kinds the soil can hardly be too rich. When grown as a market crop, peas are never staked; for private use they are generally sown in double rows, and the tall varieties staked up by brush. For an early crop sow soon as the ground can be worked, and make repeated sowings every two weeks for succession. After the first of June sowing should be discontinued until the middle of August, when a good crop may sometimes be secured by sowing an extra early sort for fall use. Our stock of Peas cannot be excelled either as to earliness, purity or germinating quality. Detroit gardeners have offered green peas grown from our stock several days in advance of any other. Our stocks are of the best. All smooth peas 60 pounds per bushel; all wrinkled peas 56 pounds per bushel. Wrinkled varieties marked thus *. Our prices on Peas include postage, but if ordered sent by Express or Freight', at Purchaser's expense. 15c per quart ?nay be deducted. EXTRA EARLY SORTS. First and Best. Height two and a-half feet. The best extra early pea ever offered. This variety is unequaled for excellence, yield, size of pod and regularity of growth.
