COZINI C. pepo () 15 A prolific, new, early variety developed at our Pacific Coast breeding station from Black Zucchini x Long Black Cocozelle. Plant open, relatively non-branched but with large, entire, dark- green leaves. Fruits very smooth, dark green, straight and blocky, firm fleshed and remaining edible over a long period, with fine cooking quality and flavor; a little longer and nar- rower than Black Zucchini. EARLY PROLIFIC STRAIGHTNECK C. pepo () 14 Introduced by Ferry-Morse Seed Co. All-America Silver Medal for 1938. An attractive, productive and popular variety with bright lemon-yellow fruits, tender and succulent. EARLY YELLOW SUMMER CROOKNECK C. pepo () 10 An extensively used summer sort. Plants very prolific. Fruits curved at neck, light yellow at edible early stage. English Vegetable Marrow C. pepo () 15 A prolific summer variety. Fruits cylindrical but somewhat larger at blossom end; pale greenish exterior, lighter colored interior. A long vining strain of this variety is also available. Giant Summer Crookneck C. pevo () 20 Similar to Early Yellow Summer Crookneck, but larger and later. Fruits weigh 4-5 lb. at maturitv; neck curved; skin lemon-yellow, warted; flesh thick and yellow.
