The following details regarding it have been kindlysupplied by the owners. The property lies 25 miles from the nearest rail point, Caldwell station,on the Ottawa-Parry Sound branch of the Grand Trunk railway, and 33miles southwest of Renfrew. The workings lie on the left bank of theMadawaska river, a few hundred feet from the water. The trend of thedeposit is northeast, and the main graphitic zone, as proved by trenching,is about 250 feet wide, though outcrops of graphite are also found outsideof this .belt. Trenching has been carried out over a total distance of 1,800feet along the strike of the deposit and has exposed graphite for the entiredis
