Aeschines was an Athenian politician and orator born in 389 BC. C. and died in Samos in 314 a. He was one of the ten Attic speakers. He was a tough rival of Demosthenes, with whom he faced politically and judicially. Aeschines represented the pro-Macedonian faction of Athens, while Demosthenes demanded war against Philip.
