Light filters down onto the pine forests and corn fields outside Benito Juarez, part of the Pueblos Mancomunados, a network of Zapotec villages in the Sierra Norte Mountains of Oaxaca state, Mexico on July 11, 2008. The Pueblos Mancomunados, literally "joint villages", welcome low-impact tourism with cabins, home stays and a large network of signposted trails and forest roads throughout the spectacular landscape which the communities share.
