KEYPORT Wash. (Sept. 14, 2018) – Retired Navy Commander Darlene Iskra, center, the first female commanding officer of a Navy ship, USS Opportune (ARS-41), holds a diving helmet mask to her face during a tour of the new exhibits at the Naval Undersea Museum Sept. 14. The interpretive exhibit entitled Search, Spy, Rescue, Recover: Navy Vehicles Under the Sea and an interactive, educational space entitled the Family Learning Area will further expand the museum’s interpretive offerings about the operations and technology of the undersea Navy.
