Islands of Orkney, Scotland. Picturesque view of the St George slaying the Dragon sculpture, with the Italian Chapel in the background. The concrete sculpture was constructed by Italian POW’s before they were repatriated to Italy. Now a listed building, the Italian Chapel is a popular tourist attraction. The chapel was constructed as a Roman Catholic place of worship, by British held Italian prisoners of war during the Second World War.
