Thus, Steel's (1969: 19) statement (taken almost verbatim from Haughton (1915: 259)) that '. . the foot bones and vertebrae appear to come from a different deposit to the type and their inclusion in this genus is questionable' is here rejected. The preservation of the foot bones and tibiae are identical to those of the femora. It is clear from the literature that Kangnasaurus is a poorly known genus, yet the available material allows for a better understanding of the taxon than provided by Haughton (1915).
