Creutz is away on a northern trip. Several large church decorations have kept the staff busy at J. W. Welters' Hill street store. The windows are cer- tainly a credit to the decorators, a nice lot of gloxinias in pots, with a grand showing of orchids, being unusually pretty. Another window, treated with ranuTiculus, yellow callas and fine gla- dioli, was distinctly good. The shipping business at S. Murata's, on Hill street, is away above the aver- age for the season. Banquets and wedding decorations, with good funeral work, are keeping the Hayward Floral Co. busy. Tony Tassano has been out of town several days, visiting places unknown to the general public, whence come green goods. H. R. Richards. SAN FRANCISCO. The Market. A few showers during the last week have helped to freshen everything ex- cept business, but this is at a low ebb. With most of the townspeople on the way to the seaside or mountains, and the schools closed for the summer, there is little trade to speak of. There are quite a lot of Memorial day orders coming from outside points. It is cer- tain there will be no shortage of stock. From all appearances, there will be plenty of everything that will be called for. White stock, however, is begin- ning to show a slight advance over other flo
