Clockwise from bottom left these are; simple acinar, simple tubular, simple coiled tubular, simple branched acinar, compound tubulo-acinar and simple tubulo-acinar. The gland forms by invagination from an epithelial surface. Exocrine glands secrete their products through ducts on to epithelial surfaces. They include salivary, sweat and mammary glands.
