5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (March 21, 2017) An MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter assigned to the "Spartans" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 70 prepares to take off aboard the aircraft carrier USS George Bush (CVN 77). The ship and it's carrier strike group are deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
