South Ayrshire, Scotland, UK Bennane Cairn dedicated to Henry Ewing Torbet a banker from Dundee who lived as a hermit in the cave. Known as Snib Scott (1912 - 1983) while he was the resident of Bennane Cave, Ayrshire. The memorial cairn was erected by public subscription, constructed of stones from the shore by Mr Sparkhall of Ballantrae.
