B. Cartledge says that this month lias been the busiest June in the history of his firm, Pennock Bros. J. J. Habermchl's Sons have had some handsome orders, both in and out of town. W. C. Herbert is improving his place at Atco, N. J. Yeatman & Way expect to grow roses on their place at Kcnnett, Pa. G. C. Watson is pleased with the first quarter in his new place in the "Pen- nock ; Early closing goes into effect in many liouses in the center of the city this week; 4 p. m. daily and 1 p. m. on Sat- urday is popular. Sydney II. Bayersdorfer is making extensive improvements at 11. Bayers- dorfer & Co.'s. A new building has been erected on Twelfth street for work- shops and a new office is being fitted up. Mr. Bayersdorfer says that business is exceedingly brisk. Like that of the American polo team, the success of Bergcr Bros, this season is attributed to team work. The casual caller is held by the hearty "Ha-Ha" greeting of William G. Stephens; the critical customer is captivated by the lovely manners of Stuart H. Miller; the afflicted are cheered by the sympathy of Edmund Dornheim, while visitors from up the state and from Manhattan are attracted by the pleasing person- iility of John Bergcr. Phil. M
