In the herbarium of the Botanical Museum, Copenhagen, I have found several of Ørsted's specimens belonging to this species. The description below is especially based upon my own material. The plant (Fig. 108) forms dense richly ramified tufts which are fixed to the substratum by means of a broad disc composed.
