Los Angeles, California - Supporters of a union organizing campaign picket a car wash in south Los Angeles. A community coalition called the CLEAN Carwash Campaign is working with the United Steelworkers to win union recognition for the workers. The Campaign says that car wash workers are often paid less than the minimum wage, and sometimes must work only for tips. The workers rarely complain since many are undocumented immigrants and can easily be deported.
