Drawings :—Mrs. Allingham, TheLady of the Manor, 1880, 210 guineas; BirketFoster, Exercising the Hounds, 275 guineas ; , a Lake Scene, with buildings and figures,sunset effect, 350 guineas ; J. F. Lewis, CairoBazaar, finished study for the picture exhibitedat the Royal Academy, 1876, 310 guineas, andDisputing Accounts, 265 guineas. The first of the two portions of the engravingsof the Duke of Buccleuch, ^vlarch 8th-2ist, (eightdays),realizing;^i 3. io6,andthe second portion soldon April i9th-22nd (four days), bringing ^19, were 2,109 lo^s in the two parts. It is saidthat the whole collection was acquired for less thanone fourth of the sum now realized.
