Mockingbird Station Trail Connections with Ron Kirk Bridge Park
The big puzzle piece just fell into place with the completion of the Mockingbird Pedestrian Hike and Bike Cable-stayed bridge at Mockingbird Station. This connects the Katy Trail and the White Rock Trail at Mockingbird with several trails at either end already linked to the network of trails. It expands the Dallas trails by an additional 100 miles including the $8M At&T trail in far south Dalals at I-20 with the new Great Trinity Forest, the new PGA golf course and the Dallas Horse Park. Once a couple of links going into Tarrant County are done the trails will connect to the new,but historic,Chisholm Trail in Ft. Worth. It will be one of the finer systems of trails and hike and bike travel in a large Metroplex area like the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. It is an enxiting time.
