Weddings are quiet, but from now until Thanksgiv- ing they will be about as plentiful as the debutante events. Buffalo florists will have no reason to complain until after the holidays for amount of work; as to prices they alone are the masters. NOTES. S. A. Anderson had his twenty-third annual chrysanthemum show Novem- ber 3-7. It was more attractively ar- ranged than in other years, the truly Japanese effect being apparent. The blooms were tine and of the best qual- ity, as in other years. At 3 p. m. Sat- urday, November 7, the whole stock was put on sale at a sacrifice and in less than two hours the store was de- pleted of exhibition flowers. Hundreds of people got the grandest flowers at a price within the reach of all, and those that could not visit Delaware, South or Humboldt parks got one or more flowers for their home at a very low price, demonstrating in the strong- est manner possible that when you can sell a good article at a low price, more especially flowers, you not only bright- «i the home, but you educate the masses and instill in them the love for flowers. Delaware and South parks have, and are now having, their chrysanthemum show. Thousands of visitors throng these places every Sunday and many also visit Humboldt park, where the blooms are as beautiful but the num- ber not as large. Bison. Montreal. TRADE GOOD DESPITE WAR
