INDIAN OCEAN (Jan. 8, 2021) – Marine Corps Sgt. Christian Gibbons, a combat engineer with Combat Logistics Battalion 15, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, assists in constructing a crate to move large equipment from one ship to another aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8). The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th MEU are conducting operations in the 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
