The Puerto Rico National Guard 181st Area Support Medical Company (ASMC) departed from the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in Carolina, Puerto Rico, toward Texas as part of the unit’s mobilization process in order to receive further training before shipping to its assigned area of operation where its mission awaits, April 1. The 181st will be providing health services to units located within its area of operations once it arrives to its designated region. Col. Narciso Cruz, representing The Adjutant General’s office, was among the PRNG leadership who went to see the medics depart toward their Mobilization Station and away from their families. This mobilization is a major achievement for the PRNG despite the challenging situation left in the Island by Hurricanes Irma and María last year. It shows the dedication and desire of the 181st to still accomplish the mission in the face of struggle in order to protect the Nation. (National Guard
