Eyes widely separated in 6 and $ ; front facets very greatly enlarged in both sexes ; ocelli present. Antenme elongate porrect; ord joint as long as 1st and 2nd together, sword-shaped, with tip rounded ; arista subapieal. One pair of strong vertical bristles. Proboscis very long and thin, rigid, geniculated at about the middle.
