Happy Birthday, Navy! Cmdr. Edward (Scott) Hurd and Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Brian Ordille, from the Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center, Portsmouth, Virginia, celebrate the Navy’s 247th Birthday, Oct. 13, 2022. During the ceremony, Hurd gave a brief history lesson about his grandfather’s ceremonial sword from WWII that was used for the cake-cutting during the time-honored Navy tradition.
