IWO TO, Japan (May 8, 2017) An F/A-18F Super Hornet assigned to the Eagles of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 115 prepares for take-off for Field Carrier Landing Practice (FCLP) qualifications at Iwo To, previously Iwo Jima, to simulate landing jets on aircraft carriers at sea. VFA-115 as part of Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interest of the and its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
