A 3rd Class Cross of the Order of St. George, Orders Decoration, circa 1860 The obverse medallion is of typical dark red translucent enamel. St. George is executed in the finest enamel paint work, riding to the right. The name cipher on the reverse (slightly shrunken) medallion is drawn in black. The eyelet with an illegible punch, with suspension ring and original ribbon stitched for wear. The right cross arm has been repaired and re-enameled due to damage caused during wear. Width 39 mm.
