A 1900 portrait of British music hall and theatre Juggler Cinquevalli. Fully named Paul Cinquevalli (1859 – 1918) but said to born Emile Otto Lehmann-Braun in Lissa in the Prussian Province of Posen (now Poland), later moving to Germany. His was a popular stage artist in the English music halls. He was classed as a "gentleman juggler", a description given to a male performer who juggled with everyday objects such as plates, cus, bottles, glasses and umbrellas. Many modern written biographies are said to be derived from doubtful self publicity stories.
