People assembled in front of Presidential Palace in Warsaw, Poland after president Lech Kaczynski death in plane crash


The photo was taken 10 th April 2010 in front of Presidential Palace on Krakowskie Przedmiescie street in Warsaw, capital of Poland. People was gathering there after tragic presidential plane crash on the same day morning. Polish Tupolev Tu-154M crashed near Smolensk, Russia, killing all 89 passengers and 7 crew members, including polish president Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria, Commanders-in-Chief of polish Armed Forces, many politicians (members of parliament and senators), vice-speakers of parliament, the national bank governor nad many other notables. They all were flying from Warsaw to participate the 70th anniversary of the Katyn massacre. In Poland they were a lot of ceremonies after this tragedy. People were gathering on streets, lighting candles and praying.
