John Tyndall (1820–1893) was an influential 19th-century Irish physicist and natural philosopher renowned for his extensive research in the fields of infrared radiation and the physical properties of the atmosphere. He made significant contributions to the understanding of the greenhouse effect and the scattering of light, known as the Tyndall effect. Additionally, Tyndall was a prolific science educator and communicator, popularizing scientific knowledge through his writings and lectures.
