Some of the 18 man-made solar-powered supertrees in Supertree Grove with the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in the background at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. The 18 tree trunks are covered with over 162,900 plants comprising more than 200 species and varieties of bromeliads, orchids, ferns and tropical flowering climbers. Each of the tree's canopies provides shade during the day and come alive with an exhilarating display of light and sound twice nightly, known as ‘Garden Rhapsody’.
