Ionic capital from the Temple of Artemis (Artemision) in Ephesus (now Selçuk, Turkey) on display in the Ephesos Museum in Vienna, Austria. The capital belongs to the temple itself or to the open-air altar next to the temple. The Artemision was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
