From this command hereceived the name of Lighthorse Harry. Received goldmedal for daring and successful attempt to surprise andcapture British garrison at Paulus Hook. Married hiscousin Matilda Lee, and resided at her home, Stratford to pronounce funeral oration on Washington, and theresaid First in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of hiscountrymen.
