The new cars illustrate a number of improvements uponthe companys previous practice, including the use of an all-steelunderframe of special design, steel bulkheads, steel roof trussesand folding steps and doors of the manually operated car is to be equipped with four Westinghouse 306 inter-pole, 60-hp motors with a gear ratio of 16 to 68; the seatingcapacity is to be fifty-two passengers, and the approximate totalweight of the complete car, without passengers, is tons.
