From May onward the import was very heavy and prices rapidly receded until sales were made as low as £6 for Halifax and £6 10s for St. John. Quotations are nominally higher, but as the stock is very heavy there are still anxious sellers at low figures. N. B. Pine Deals.âThe import has JOHN ANDERSON WOOD AGENT been a moderate one and the demand fair. Prices have run about £8 10s to £9 10s. Spruce.âThe import was not so liea vy as last year.
