A Chasseur officer's sabre, model 1792. Slightly curved Montmorency blade with the motto, "POUR LA PATRIE ET LA LIBERTE" on the obverse side. Etched "Klingenthal" on the back. Brass hilt with fine twisted brass wire hilt cover. Leather scabbard with brass mountings and two suspension rings. Length 88 cm.
