Bronchoceles occur twice as often in females asin males (Schrotter). Clinically, they are dividedinto diffuse and circumscribed forms, and patho-logically into follicular, colloid, vascular and cysticbronchoceles. In all cases the typical situation corresponds tothe anatomical position of the thyroid gland, andthe symptoms are definite. Even small bronchocelescause marked and early deformity. Further exten-sion results in pressure on the veins, causing promi-nence of the cutaneous veins and a cyanotic appear-ance of the face.
