The weather has been unusually cold for September and frosts have been recorded in some sections. The supply of asters continues abundant and far more of these flowers arrive than can be disposed of. Gladioli, while quite plentiful, are becoming smaller and the season for these is rapidly wan- ing. Few flowers realize more than $3 per hundred, the bulk being sold much cheaper. Eoses have been selling poorly, even whites dragging badly. Prices have varied from 50 cents to $12 per hundred, but the greater number of sales are below $3 per hundred.
