The North Pennine Staycation Express is a special tourist train operated by Rail Services Limited that runs three times a day in each direction between Skipton and Appleby on the famous Settle to Carlisle railway line. In this photograph it is seen passing Birkett Common with service 137U, the 12:18 from Skipton to Appleby on Thursday 20th August 2020 with class 37 D6817 at the rear (and class 47, 47712, Lady Diana Spencer, at the front).
