PelicanOj Eossi & Co. have also supplied the voyagers with many more or less expensive boxes and baskets of roses, Columbia and Bussell being shown the preference* Krase Bros, will open a flower shop in Richmond, an industrial suburb on the east side of San Francisco bay, in the near future. They havV leased a store in the Cunningham building, on Ninth street, directly off MacDonald avenue, the principal business street of the city. Preparations are now being made for the formal opening. Stock will be supplied from the San Francisco headquarters, fresh each day, and a specialty will be made of decorating work. The store will be managed by A. J. Krase. V. Podesta, of Podesta & Baldocchi, is planning on a European trip this spring. He had hoped to visit Europe last year, but was unable to get away. Shellgrain & Ritter have recently made several shipments to out-of-town points for large funerals. San Francisco is glad to report fewer calls for flowers for funeral purposes due to the influenza epidemic, as the dis- ease is almost gone from here. J. A. Axell, wholesale grower, reports plenty of roses for the market and a large supply of carnations, but he says that there is a scarcity of daffodils and orchids. C.
