A French silver-hilted small-sword, Paris, 1775 Hollow triangular thrusting blade etched and gilt on a blued panel (mostly preserved ) on the reverse side. Silver hilt with remnants of gilding in floral relief with martial trophies within oval cartouches, each beneath a royal crown. Double shell-guard with the reverse cipher "L" on the outside, and three fleur-de-lys within an oval coat-of-arms on the inside. The arms of the hilt is stamped with an "M" beneath a crown, for Paris 1775. A of Louis XVI on one side of the pommel. Original silver wire boung grip wit,
