CERVANTESII MEMBRANACEUM, Lindl.—A charming small-growing variety of this beautiful species, in which the larger fragi-ant flowers, which smell of almonds, are pure white having concentric broken lines of crimson at the base, and a deeply cordate retuse blunt lip, marked with a few concentric crimson bars. It blooms during the winter months, and continues in bloom four weeks. This will do on a block of wood or in a pot. There are many forms of this variety. One named roseum is a very handsome plant, with the flowers in racemes of five or six together, rose colour, shaded with yellow, and barred with brown, and produced through autumn and winter.—Mexico; Guatemala.
