SEBA, Albert, a naturalist, was born,in 1665, at Eetzel, in East Friesland ; wasbrought up as an apothecary; and settledin tliat capacity at Amsterdam, after hav-ing made several voyages to the East andWest Indies, in the course of which heformed a valuable collection of naturalhistory. He died in 1736. He left adescription of his collection in four foliovolumes, with SECKER, Thomas, an eminent andpious prelate, was born, in 1693, at Sib-thorpe, in Nottinghamshire, and was edu-cated, at various seminaries, with the viewof becoming a preacher among the dissent-ers.
