The hinge is narrow, rounded, and rather delicate. The striae are very regnlar. The epidermis is greenish and polished. The lunula is wanting. Very closely allied to Corbicula Manillensis, it is however less equilateral, less inflated, transversely less rounded, the pos- terior side is more produced, the beaks are less full, and the strise are closer. Compared with Corbicula striatella, from In- dia, it is a little slighter, more elongated, and not so oval. 18. Corbicula Crosseana, nov. spec.
