The Afghan National Police, led by Maruf District Police Chief, Nader Khan, helped medically evacuate an injured man from eastern Kandahar province's Maruf District to a hospital in Kandahar City, Afghanistan, Jan. 3. The District Governor, Abdul Samat Durrani, provided the funds needed to transport the patient to a higher level of care.
