Design for a Chimneypiece, Graphite, pen and ink, brush and watercolor on paper, Below are bases. Upon them stand upon plinths a frame in TT form, and a receding vertical stripe on either side. The grame has inside a molding with an ovolo and a row of heads. It is decorated with a tyrsi surrounded by vine. They stand at the sides; two of them are fastened by a bow knot, above. On top are the cornices of an entablature. The measurements of the height of the bases and the stripes and of the width of the opening are indicated with graphite as '3 - 2' and '4 - 6 1/2', respecitvely.
