A sword for the Archers Life Guard, from the Reign of King Ludwig I A straight, single-edged blade with the crowned cipher "L" on both obverse and reverse sides, and stamped "37" on the rounded back of the blade. Massive silver hilt. The inside of the guard plate has been stamped several times with "LGH", the number "49" the master's mark "XB" and the "Münchner Kindl" (Munich child). Gilded brass grip with indicated wrapping. Attached, proper sword knot. Black leather scabbard with silver-plated brass fittings. Quillons have an old repair. Hilt slightly worn by,
