As a result of the action taken at theconvention held in 1905, a committee ofthree was appointed, and after consid-erable preliminary work, the committeecalled together a number of manufactur-. Mr. Arthur C. Walworth, of Bos-ton, presided, and Mr. Henry B. Gomb-ers acted as secretary of the meeting, atwhich were present or represented anumber of manufacturers — some ofwhom, strange to say, are now under theimpression that they have not had suf-ficient time in which to take up the mat-ter of agreeing upon a standard forflanged fittings and flanges.
