First tergite with anterior and posterior margins nearly straight and sub-parallel, the sides evenly and strongly convex, the sculpturing of the surface obscurely defined. The rest of the tergites normally sculptured, but wholly smooth. The anterior angles of the keels manifestly rounded, the posterior angles strongly produced only at the posterior end of the body; lateral margins entirely smooth and without den- ticles. Feet moderately long. Copulatory feet of the male (fig.) conspicuous ; basal segment large and stout and forming with its elllow of the opposite side a two-sided receptacle for the protection of the distal segments when at rest ; second segment wide at the base and furnished poste- riorly with a number of close-set stiff hairs, produced distally into a lightly curved, strong piece which bears at the apex a small setiferous process ; the distal segment very long slender and strongly curved at the.
